Where a Y-Louvre sliding window works best

Louvred windows suit openings that need ventilation and privacy more than a weather seal: covered patios and braai areas, laundries, sculleries, store rooms, garages, plant and pump rooms. Because a Y-Louvre insert is not weatherproof, use it where a roof or overhang keeps the rain off.

Y-Louvre or glass?

For a weather-tight window you can see through, choose the glazed version in the same size, with 6.38 mm clear laminated safety glass as standard: Premier Sliding Window 2400 × 1500 mm (glazed).
