Pretoria homes are built for long, hot summers, with a stoep or covered patio on the shaded side of the house and plenty of outdoor living. The wider the door onto that patio, the better the house breathes. That’s why most aluminium sliding doors Pretoria customers order from us are 3 000 to 3 600 mm wide. Coetz™ makes every door to order at Laser Park in Johannesburg in 1–2 days, glazed with 6.38 mm clear laminated safety glass, and delivers across Tshwane. The exceptions are our Patio sliding doors and a few large Elite sliding door sizes, which use toughened safety glass.
Coetz™ supplies only. Your builder or a door installer fits the doors.

Aluminium sliding doors Pretoria: how much of the wall opens?
On a hot afternoon, the amount of wall that opens matters more than anything else:
- A fixed-panel sliding door (Patio, StormSeal, Elite, Premier) parks its sliding panels behind a fixed panel, so roughly half the opening clears.
- A multi-sliding door (Horizon, Premier Multi) has no fixed panel. Every panel slides and stacks, so far more of the wall opens.
- A four-panel OXXO layout has fixed panels at each end and two sliders that part in the middle. It suits a central opening onto a stoep.

Sun and shade
A big sliding door is a big piece of glass. If it faces west or north-west, plan shade before you order: a roof overhang, pergola or covered stoep keeps the afternoon sun off the glass. We supply clear laminated glass only, not tinted or double glazing, so shading does the work. For rooms that need air with the sun screened, our Y-Louvre doors replace the glass with aluminium louvre blades.
Pretoria homes we supply
- Older eastern suburbs such as Brooklyn, Waterkloof, Menlo Park and Lynnwood: replacing old steel French doors with a wider sliding door.
- Estates such as Silver Lakes, Woodhill and Mooikloof: wide multi-sliding doors onto covered patios. Get HOA approval for colour and style first.
- Townhouses in Moreleta Park, Faerie Glen and Montana: two-panel sliding doors between 1 500 and 2 400 mm wide.
Delivery to Pretoria
- Gauteng rate: R950 per order for standard items and R1 350 for doors over 2 400 mm, delivered 2–5 working days after dispatch.
- Free collection from Unit 2, 84 Ridge Road, Laser Park, Johannesburg. Wide doors need a trailer long enough to carry the frame flat.
See delivery.
Glass, lock and warranty
Every door has 6.38 mm clear laminated safety glass, as SANS 10400-N requires for glazed doors. The standard is published by the South African Bureau of Standards. Sliding doors close with a hook lock. Frames, glass and powder coating are covered for 5 years and hardware and seals for 2 years against manufacturing defects (see our warranty).

Ordering Aluminium sliding doors Pretoria: a five-point checklist
Most delays on aluminium sliding doors Pretoria orders come from one of five details. Check them before you order:
- Panel layout: two panels suit standard openings, and 4- and 6-panel doors suit wider ones. See sliding door configurations.
- Which panel slides: every product drawing is shown from inside, so check which panel moves and which stays fixed.
- Range: the Patio range is the most affordable; the Premier range uses heavier sections for wider, taller openings.
- Threshold and track: on aluminium sliding doors Pretoria patios that face the storm direction, a roof overhang or a step down outside keeps wind-driven rain off the bottom track.
- Colour: White, Bronze and Charcoal cost the same; Black is about 10% more and Natural Anodised about 20% more.
Once those are settled, aluminium sliding doors Pretoria orders are made in 1–2 days at our Laser Park workshop, then delivered from R650 excluding VAT in the Johannesburg zone or R950 elsewhere in Gauteng (checkout works it out from your postcode), or collected free. Coetz™ supplies only, so book your builder or installer for the delivery week.
