Pretoria lies lower than Johannesburg and is noticeably warmer in summer, so the windows people choose here are mostly about moving air and managing sun. Coetz™ makes aluminium windows Pretoria homes order at our Laser Park workshop in Johannesburg, prices them online and delivers across Tshwane. Each window is made in 1–2 days and glazed with 6.38 mm clear laminated safety glass. This page compares our sliding window ranges, including louvred Y-Louvre windows for shade, explains how to plan cross-ventilation, and gives real prices and delivery.
Coetz™ supplies only. Your builder or a window installer fits the windows (see aluminium window installers).

Aluminium windows Pretoria: planning for heat
On a hot Pretoria afternoon, the size of the opening matters more than the glass.
- Open on two sides. A window on each of two opposite or adjacent walls lets air flow through the room, not just in.
- Use the biggest opening you can. A side hung window opens fully. A sliding window opens up to half its width. A top hung window opens less, but keeps rain out.
- Shade west-facing glass. Glass facing the afternoon sun heats the room. Plan an overhang, pergola or blinds, or use louvres (below).
- Clear glass only. Every window has 6.38 mm clear laminated safety glass. We don’t supply tinted, reflective or double-glazed aluminium windows.

Pretoria homes, old and new
- Older eastern suburbs such as Brooklyn, Waterkloof, Menlo Park, Lynnwood and Murrayfield often have steel windows that have rusted or no longer close. Measure the opening once the old frame is out and order the next standard size; our units are made 10 mm smaller than the catalogue size. See replace steel windows with aluminium.
- Flats and student rentals around Hatfield, Arcadia and Sunnyside are usually sectional-title buildings. Replacements need the trustees’ approval and must match the building.
- Estates in the east, such as Silver Lakes, Woodhill and Mooikloof, usually set the frame colour and style. Get HOA approval first.

Ordering Aluminium windows Pretoria: a five-point checklist
Most delays on aluminium windows Pretoria orders come from one of five details. Check them before you order:
- Size: measure each opening at three points across and three points down, use the smallest figure and choose the next standard size below it.
- Style per room: top hung windows stay open in light rain, side hung windows give the most airflow, and sliding windows suit openings where a sash must not project.
- Bathrooms: on aluminium windows Pretoria orders, add obscure glass to bathroom windows in the online estimator at R248 per m².
- Opening side: every product drawing is shown from inside, so check which sash opens before you order.
- Colour: White, Bronze and Charcoal cost the same; Black is about 10% more and Natural Anodised about 20% more.
Once those are settled, aluminium windows Pretoria orders are made in 1–2 days at our Laser Park workshop, then delivered from R650 excluding VAT in the Johannesburg zone or R950 elsewhere in Gauteng (checkout works it out from your postcode), or collected free.
