Aluminium windows Centurion: Victorian or contemporary?
Our top hung windows come in three looks:
- Standard has plain sashes with one or more panes. It’s the most affordable and suits most homes.
- Victorian divides each sash into smaller panes. It suits older Centurion and Irene homes, farm-style houses and anything with a pitched roof and plaster mouldings.
- Contemporary has a slim, clean sash for modern estate homes with flat roofs and large openings.
Every style has the same 6.38 mm clear laminated safety glass and comes in the same five colours.

Older homes: Lyttelton, Irene, Wierdapark and Zwartkop
Many of Centurion’s older suburbs date from before the 1990s. Their homes often have steel windows that have rusted at the sills or no longer close. To replace them:
- Measure the opening brick-to-brick once the old frame is out, and order the standard size that fits. Our units are made 10 mm smaller than the catalogue size (see how to measure aluminium windows).
- Keep the character of the house with Victorian-style panes, or modernise with a standard or contemporary sash.
- Check that the opening sash clears any burglar bars.

Newer estates: Southdowns, Heritage Hill, Midstream and Eldo
Centurion’s newer estates usually have architectural guidelines that set frame colour and style. Contemporary sashes in Charcoal or Black are common. Get the HOA’s approval before you order, send the product drawings with your plans, and arrange gate access for delivery.
Delivery to Centurion
Centurion is outside our Johannesburg zone, so it is charged at our Gauteng rate:
- R950 for standard-size items and R1 350 for items over 2 400 mm, charged once per order.
- Delivery time: 2–5 working days from dispatch. Windows are made in 1–2 days.
- Free collection is also available from Unit 2, 84 Ridge Road, Laser Park, Johannesburg, if you or your builder are in Johannesburg.

Glass and warranty
Every window has 6.38 mm clear laminated safety glass, which meets SANS 10400-N, published by the South African Bureau of Standards. We don’t supply tinted or double-glazed aluminium windows. Frames, glass and powder coating are covered for 5 years and hardware and seals for 2 years against manufacturing defects (see our warranty).

Most delays on aluminium windows Centurion orders come from one of five details. Check them before you order:
- Size: measure each opening at three points across and three points down, use the smallest figure and choose the next standard size below it.
- Style per room: top hung windows stay open in light rain, side hung windows give the most airflow, and sliding windows suit openings where a sash must not project.

- Opening side: every product drawing is shown from inside, so check which sash opens before you order.
