Description
Where a fixed aluminium window 900 × 900 works best
Stairwells, passages, double-volume walls, gable ends and anywhere ventilation is already handled by another opening in the same room. It is also used as an infill alongside an opening window to make up a wider composition without adding another sash.
Why choose a fixed pane
A fixed unit has no hinges, no stays and no handle, so there is nothing to wear, nothing to service and nothing to secure. It also gives the cleanest sightline of any window type, and it costs less than the equivalent opening unit because there is no hardware in it. It is one of the most specified sizes we build, which is why we keep the fixed aluminium window 900 × 900 as a standard catalogue item rather than a custom order.
Fixed aluminium window 900 × 900: fitting notes
Frame size is 890 × 890 mm. Because a fixed pane cannot be opened, plan cleaning access before you specify one — a fixed window at the top of a double-volume wall needs a ladder or a pole system for the rest of its life. Confirm the room has adequate ventilation from another opening.
Glass and finish on this fixed aluminium window 900 × 900
Every unit is glazed as standard with 6.38 mm clear laminated safety glass. Laminated glass holds together on impact because the interlayer retains the fragments, which is why it is our standard rather than an upgrade. The frame is powder coated in your choice of Black, White, Bronze, Charcoal or Natural Anodised.
Ordering this fixed aluminium window 900 × 900
This is a made-to-order unit with a lead time of 1–2 days from order. Aluminium windows and doors are supplied only — installation is arranged by your own builder or installer, which keeps the manufactured product separate from the installation contract. Collection is from Laser Park, Roodepoort, with Gauteng delivery and national supply options depending on the order and destination.
If your opening does not match this size, we manufacture to your dimensions — send the structural opening width and height and we will confirm what can be built. Final responsibility for measurements rests with the customer, so check the opening before ordering.
1-Pane Fixed Aluminium Window – 900 × 900 mm
A made-to-order 900 × 900 mm fixed aluminium window with a single fixed pane. Fixed windows do not open, so they maximise glass area and natural light with the slimmest possible sightlines – ideal for picture windows, stairwells and gable ends, or alongside opening windows. Glazed with 6.38 mm clear laminated safety glass, powder-coated to your chosen finish and supplied nationwide across South Africa.
