Why two panes rather than one

Splitting a 1200 mm square into two panes reduces the size of each individual sheet of glass. That lowers the cost, makes the unit easier to handle on site, and means a single damaged pane can be replaced without taking out the full width of glazing. Frame size is 1190 × 1190 mm. Square openings expose any inaccuracy in the brickwork, so check both diagonals. As with any fixed unit, settle cleaning access at design stage — particularly on a stairwell wall where the glass may end up well above floor level.

Every unit is glazed as standard with 6.38 mm clear laminated safety glass. Laminated glass holds together on impact because the interlayer retains the fragments, which is why it is our standard rather than an upgrade. This is a made-to-order unit with a lead time of 1–2 days from order. Aluminium windows and doors are supplied only — installation is arranged by your own builder or installer, which keeps the manufactured product separate from the installation contract. Collection is from Laser Park, Roodepoort, with Gauteng delivery and national supply options depending on the order and destination.
