In this guide
Planning for the Limpopo Bushveld climate
Aluminium windows and doors Bela-Bela buyers should plan for hot summers with afternoon thunderstorms, mild, dry, sunny winters with cool nights, and dust in the dry months. Three practical choices follow:
- Top hung windows can stay open in light rain, so rooms stay ventilated through summer storms. See top hung aluminium windows.
- Open up to the bush. Wide sliding doors or folding doors suit a holiday house or lodge that opens onto a stoep.
- Cut the glare. West-facing windows and sliding doors can take the tinted glass options priced in the online estimator.
Aluminium does not rot or swell after summer storms, and a roof overhang keeps the worst of the sun off the glass.
