The East Rand towns grew around the gold mines and factories of the last century. Germiston, Boksburg, Benoni, Brakpan, Springs, Alberton and Kempton Park are full of family homes built from the 1950s to the 1980s, and most of those homes had steel windows. Replacing them is the most common reason people search for aluminium windows East Rand suppliers make. Coetz™ makes aluminium windows to order at Laser Park in Johannesburg, prices every one online and delivers across Ekurhuleni. Every window is made in 1–2 days and glazed with 6.38 mm clear laminated safety glass.
Coetz™ supplies only. Your builder or a window installer fits the windows (see aluminium window installers).

Aluminium windows East Rand: matching the old steel layout
Old steel windows on the East Rand are often wide, multi-pane units, with fixed panes and a small opening vent at the top or side. To keep the look of the house, match that layout:
- Twin openers with a 600 mm vent come closest to the classic steel layout for bedrooms.
- 4-pane top hung windows divide a wide opening into four panes, for living rooms.
- Single openers suit kitchens and bathrooms.
Each product page has a drawing, viewed from inside, that shows exactly which panes open.

Replacing steel windows step by step
- Measure the opening once the old frame is out. Steel frames are often built into the brickwork, so the opening can only be measured accurately after removal. Order the next standard size that fits; our units are made 10 mm smaller than the catalogue size (see how to measure aluminium windows).
- Plan the plaster repairs. Removing a built-in steel frame usually damages the reveal, so your builder will make good around the new frame.
- Check the burglar bars. Many East Rand homes have bars fixed in the reveal. A top hung window opens outwards, so it clears bars fitted on the inside.
- Seal it properly. A continuous bead of exterior sealant between frame and wall keeps storms out (see how to install aluminium windows).
More detail is in replace steel windows with aluminium.
Newer homes: Bedfordview, Edenvale and the Benoni estates
Not all of the East Rand is older housing. Bedfordview and Edenvale have larger homes, and Benoni and Boksburg have newer lake and golf estates. There, estate guidelines usually set the frame colour (often Charcoal or Black), and new windows need HOA approval before you order.

Frames, glass and powder coating are covered for 5 years and hardware and seals for 2 years against manufacturing defects (see our warranty).

Ordering Aluminium windows East Rand: a five-point checklist
Most delays on aluminium windows East Rand orders come from one of five details. Check them before you order:
- Size: measure each opening at three points across and three points down, use the smallest figure and choose the next standard size below it.
- Style per room: top hung windows stay open in light rain, side hung windows give the most airflow, and sliding windows suit openings where a sash must not project.
- Bathrooms: on aluminium windows East Rand orders, add obscure glass to bathroom windows in the online estimator at R248 per m².
- Opening side: every product drawing is shown from inside, so check which sash opens before you order.
- Colour: White, Bronze and Charcoal cost the same; Black is about 10% more and Natural Anodised about 20% more.
Once those are settled, aluminium windows East Rand orders are made in 1–2 days at our Laser Park workshop, then delivered from R650 excluding VAT in the Johannesburg zone or R950 elsewhere in Gauteng (checkout works it out from your postcode), or collected free.
