Planning for the North West climate
Aluminium windows and doors Klerksdorp buyers should plan for hot summers with afternoon thunderstorms, sometimes with hail, and cold, dry winters with frosty mornings. Three practical choices follow:
- Top hung windows can stay open in light rain, so bedrooms stay ventilated on stormy summer afternoons. See top hung aluminium windows.
- Plan for hail. Laminated safety glass holds together if hail cracks a pane, and a roof overhang protects patio doors.
- Use the winter sun. North-facing sliding doors bring warmth into living areas on cold, clear winter days.
Powder-coated aluminium shrugs off the dry winter air and summer heat, so frames keep their finish for years with a simple wash.
