The West Rand mixes older towns like Krugersdorp and Randfontein with smallholdings, plots and farmhouses out towards Muldersdrift, Tarlton and Magaliesburg. Many of those homes face open veld and big views, so the windows we supply here tend to be wide fixed panes for the view with opening sashes for air. Coetz™ makes aluminium windows West Rand homes need at Laser Park, on the western side of Johannesburg, which is our closest workshop to the West Rand. Every window is priced online, made in 1–2 days and glazed with 6.38 mm clear laminated safety glass.
Coetz™ supplies only. Your builder or a window installer fits the windows (see aluminium window installers).

Aluminium windows West Rand: windows for views and exposed sites
On a plot or farmhouse with open views, combine two kinds of window:
- Fixed windows frame the view at the lowest cost. They go up to 3 600 × 2 100 mm (4 or 5 panes) in the 44 mm frame.
- Opening windows next to or above the fixed glass let air in. A side hung window opens like a door and moves the most air. A top hung window with a 900 mm vent keeps rain out while it’s open.
Exposed walls take wind-driven summer storms head-on. Keep the drainage slots at the bottom of every frame clear, and make sure the installer seals the frame to the wall all round (see aluminium windows leaking).

Older homes in Krugersdorp and Randfontein
Krugersdorp and Randfontein grew as mining towns, and many family homes there still have their original steel windows. To replace them, measure the opening once the old frame is out and order the next standard size; our windows are made 10 mm smaller than the catalogue size. Match side hung for side hung to keep the look, or switch to top hung to modernise. See replace steel windows with aluminium.
Building on a plot or smallholding
- Size openings to standard catalogue sizes so your builder can order straight from the shop (see aluminium window sizes).
- Order the whole house at once. Delivery is charged per order, which matters more the further out you build.
- Plan access. Give the driver clear directions and make sure the farm road is passable after rain.
Delivery and collection on the West Rand
- Collection is the quickest option for most of the West Rand. Laser Park is on the western side of Johannesburg, and collection is free by arrangement once your order is ready.
- Delivery is charged once per order. A few West Rand postcodes, including 1739, are in our Johannesburg zone (R650; R950 oversized). The rest of the West Rand is charged at our Gauteng rate (R950; R1 350 oversized), and checkout works out the rate from your postcode (see delivery).
Glass and warranty
Every window has 6.38 mm clear laminated safety glass, which meets SANS 10400-N, published by the South African Bureau of Standards. We don’t supply tinted or double-glazed aluminium windows. Frames, glass and powder coating are covered for 5 years and hardware and seals for 2 years against manufacturing defects (see our warranty).

Ordering Aluminium windows West Rand: a five-point checklist
Most delays on aluminium windows West Rand orders come from one of five details. Check them before you order:
- Size: measure each opening at three points across and three points down, use the smallest figure and choose the next standard size below it.
- Style per room: top hung windows stay open in light rain, side hung windows give the most airflow, and sliding windows suit openings where a sash must not project.
- Bathrooms: on aluminium windows West Rand orders, add obscure glass to bathroom windows in the online estimator at R248 per m².
- Opening side: every product drawing is shown from inside, so check which sash opens before you order.
- Colour: White, Bronze and Charcoal cost the same; Black is about 10% more and Natural Anodised about 20% more.
Once those are settled, aluminium windows West Rand orders are made in 1–2 days at our Laser Park workshop, then delivered from R650 excluding VAT in the Johannesburg zone or R950 elsewhere in Gauteng (checkout works it out from your postcode), or collected free. Coetz™ supplies only, so book your builder or installer for the delivery week.
