The Coetz™ online estimator lets you price windows and doors online in about a minute. Enter your opening size, choose a design and a colour, and the online estimator gives you the price, a technical drawing and the option to pay online. This guide shows how the online estimator works, what it prices and how to get the most accurate estimate for your project.
Have a full house plan? Our aluminium windows and doors quote guide shows how to price every opening in one go.

Why use an online estimator?
Most aluminium window and door quotes take days: you send measurements, wait for someone to price them, then go back and forth on sizes and colours. With the online estimator you see the answer immediately and can try alternatives – a different design, a wider opening, another colour – before you ask anyone for anything.
- Real shop prices. Every window and door comes from our online shop, so the estimate is the price you would pay.
- Any opening size. If your size is not a catalogue size, the estimator prices the next catalogue size up and we make it to your opening.
- A technical drawing. Each estimate comes with an A4 elevation you can download as a PDF.
- Pay online. Card or instant EFT, with the price checked again on our side before you pay.
How to use the online estimator in three steps
- Choose what you are pricing – windows, doors, a shopfront or your own drawing.
- Pick the type and design – top hung, side hung, sliding, folding, hinged, pivot, stable, StormSeal, Elite, automatic doors and more. Each design is shown as a small drawing so you can see exactly what you are choosing.
- Enter your opening size in millimetres, choose a colour and, if you like, add a toplight above. The price and the drawing update as you type.
Measure the structural opening, not the old frame. The estimator makes the frame 10 mm smaller so it fits, and our team confirms every size before anything is made.

What you can price with the online estimator
Aluminium windows
Top hung, side hung, Genius casement, sliding, vertical sliding, fixed and folding windows – the same range as our aluminium windows shop, at the same aluminium window prices.
Aluminium doors
Sliding patio, Premier, Horizon, StormSeal and Elite sliding doors, Vistafold and Vista Duo folding doors, and hinged, stable, pivot and swing doors. Hinged doors can be drawn opening in or out, so the drawing matches your site.
Automatic doors in the online estimator
The MC-125 automatic sliding door (bi-parting or single slide) and the MCW-100 automatic swing door are priced per operator from our shop and installed in Gauteng. Price the operator on its own to automate an existing door, or include the aluminium and glass doors.
Shopfronts – quick layout or your own design
Choose a quick layout, or design your own shopfront panel by panel: split bays, add transoms and toplights, and place single or double hinged doors, a manual sliding door or an automatic sliding door. Shopfronts are priced to your exact size and installed through MC Automations after a site measure.
Your own drawing
Already have plans from your architect? Upload the drawing, list each opening with its size and the whole list is priced at once. You can send it to us with the drawing attached, or pay online.

Price your whole project at once
Building or renovating? Switch to the Whole project tab and enter every window and door on your plan in one list – type them in, or paste the window schedule straight from your plans. You get one price schedule with the subtotal, delivery and VAT, which you can pay online, send to us or download as a PDF. Our window price calculator guide explains the rules it follows, with a worked example for a new house.
The online estimator drawing
Every online estimator price comes with an A4 elevation drawn in the Coetz™ standard, viewed from inside. It shows the overall and panel sizes, which sashes open and how, sliding directions, hinges, handles and locks, the 6.38 mm clear laminated safety glass and the aluminium colour. An elevation schedule lists the product, code, frame, glass, hardware and finish, and the title block carries an estimate number so we can find your drawing quickly when you contact us.
How online estimator prices work
- Prices are shown excluding VAT, with the VAT-inclusive price underneath.
- Windows and doors use the online shop price. Odd sizes are priced at the next catalogue size up.
- White, Bronze, Charcoal, Black and Natural Anodised all cost the same.
- Shopfronts and toplights are priced to their exact size.
- Automatic door operators use the shop price: MC-125 from R27 590 and MCW-100 from R15 900 per operator, excl. VAT, installed in Gauteng.
- Windows and doors are supply only; delivery is calculated at checkout, or collect free from Laser Park.
Pay online or send it to us
When the online estimator price looks right, press Pay online to go straight to checkout, or Add to cart to price more openings first. You pay by card or instant EFT through Yoco, Ozow or Peach Payments, and every price is recalculated on our side before payment, so what you see is what you pay. Prefer to talk first? Send the drawing on WhatsApp to 076 613 4418, email sales@coetzglazing.co.za or call 010 412 0062.

Getting your online estimator access code
It is unlocked with an access code. WhatsApp us on 076 613 4418 and we will send it to you; once entered, it stays unlocked on your device for 30 days.
Online estimator or a traditional quote?
A traditional quote is still the right route for complex work – curved openings, structural glazing, or a building where every opening is different and a site measure is essential. For everything else, estimating online is faster and gives you more control. You can price ten options in the time it takes to email one set of measurements, and you can see the drawing of each one before you choose.
- Speed: it answers in seconds; a manual quote usually takes a day or two.
- Comparisons: switch designs, sizes and colours and watch the price change instantly.
- A drawing to share: send the PDF to your builder, architect or body corporate before you commit.
- The same price: windows and doors use our shop prices, so there is no difference between an estimate and buying from the shop.
Measuring for an accurate online estimator price
The online estimator is only as accurate as the size you enter. Measure the opening in three places – top, middle and bottom for the width, and left, centre and right for the height – and use the smallest of each. Write the size as width first, then height, in millimetres. If you are replacing an old frame, measure the brick or plaster opening once the old frame is out, or ask us how to measure around it.
- Measure in millimetres, not centimetres – the estimator expects 1500, not 150.
- Check the opening is square by measuring both diagonals; a big difference means the frame needs packing on site.
- Note which side the hinges or sliding panel should be, viewed from inside – the drawing is always shown from inside.
- For doors, measure from the finished floor level, not the screed, so the threshold sits at the right height.
Who uses the online estimator
Homeowners use the online estimator to budget a renovation room by room. Builders and contractors price a full schedule from an architect’s drawing with the upload option. Architects and designers download the elevation to check proportions and sightlines. Shopfitters and property managers design a shopfront panel by panel and price automatic doors for busy entrances. Whatever the project, the online estimator gives everyone the same price and the same drawing to work from.
Choosing the right window type
Top hung windows open outwards from the top and are the most popular choice in South African homes: they keep rain out when open and suit bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms. Side hung windows open like a door and give a wider, unobstructed opening for ventilation and escape. Sliding windows do not project inside or out, which makes them ideal next to walkways, balconies and burglar bars. Fixed windows let in the most light for the least money where you do not need ventilation, and folding windows open a whole wall onto a patio or serving counter.
For doors, sliding patio doors are the everyday choice for living areas, folding doors open the full width of an entertainment area, and hinged or pivot doors make a statement at the front entrance. Stable doors suit kitchens and farm-style homes, while StormSeal and Elite sliding doors are built for exposed, windy and coastal sites.
Colours and finishes
White, Bronze and Charcoal are our standard powder-coated colours. Black is a popular modern look and Natural Anodised gives a silver metallic finish – both cost the same as White. Pick the same colour for every window and door on one elevation so the frames match – and remember that dark frames make a narrow sightline look even slimmer from the street.
Shopfront design tips
- Keep doors in the bottom panel of a bay and allow at least 1 800 mm of height for a door.
- Single hinged doors suit openings of 700–1 200 mm; double doors suit 1 200–1 800 mm.
- Add a transom above a tall door so the door itself stays a standard height and the glass above stays fixed.
- Shopfronts can be up to 3 000 mm high because of glass size limits; taller frontages are built in two tiers.
- Busy entrances work best with an automatic sliding door – price the MC-125 in the same design.
Delivery and collection
Windows and doors are delivered across Gauteng and nationwide, or you can collect free of charge from our Laser Park workshop in Roodepoort. Delivery is calculated at checkout from your address, and oversized items over 2.4 m are quoted at the oversized rate – our delivery page has the details. Shopfronts and automatic doors are installed, so their delivery is arranged with the installation.

What if my opening is not a standard size?
The online estimator prices the next catalogue size up and we make it to your opening. If the opening is larger than a design is made, it suggests other designs that fit.
Does the online estimator include automatic doors?
Yes. The MC-125 automatic sliding door and the MCW-100 automatic swing door are priced per operator, with or without the aluminium and glass doors.
Can I download the drawing?
Yes. Download drawing (PDF) saves an A4 technical drawing with your sizes, design, colour and estimate number.
How do I pay for my estimate?
Press Pay online and check out by card or instant EFT through Yoco, Ozow or Peach Payments. You can also add several estimates to one cart and pay once.
Is installation included?
Windows and doors are supply only. Automatic door operators are installed in Gauteng, and shopfronts are installed through MC Automations, quoted after a site measure.
