What makes a door Victorian
Our three hinged door designs differ in how the glass is divided:
- Large Pane: one sheet of glass in a slim frame.
- Classic: one horizontal rail across the middle of the glass.
- Victorian: one vertical and two horizontal bars, giving six panes in two columns of three.
The divided panes echo the timber doors of older homes, which is why Victorian aluminium doors suit face-brick houses, farmhouses, cottages and renovations where the owner wants a period look without painting timber.
Glazed, half clad and full clad
Victorian aluminium doors come in three versions:

Where Victorian aluminium doors work best
- Front doors on traditional homes, especially as a full clad or half clad door.
- Double doors to a stoep or garden, where the panes frame the view.
- Back and kitchen doors as a half clad door that hides the bins and the washing line.
- Renovations replacing old timber doors, keeping the look without the painting.
